How does NoTox analyze products?

Point your camera at any ingredient label. Our app uses on-device text recognition to read the label, then AI analyzes each ingredient for known health concerns, toxicity data, and regulatory warnings. You get an instant safety score from 0 to 100.

What do the safety scores mean?

Scores range from 0 to 100 across four tiers. Safe (80–100): clean formula with no significant concerns. Okay (67–79): generally acceptable with minor ingredients worth knowing about. Caution (34–66): contains ingredients linked to potential health concerns. Toxic (0–33): contains ingredients with known health risks — consider avoiding or swapping.

What types of products can I scan?

You can scan food and beverages, skincare and cosmetics, household cleaners, baby products, cookware, supplements, and more. If it has an ingredient label, you can scan it.

What languages are supported?

The app reads ingredient labels in many languages including English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Hindi. The app interface is also available in all of these languages.

How does the credit system work?

Every new account gets 10 free scans to try the app — no credit card required. When you run out, you can purchase a credit pack: 200 scans for $3.99 or 500 scans for $7.99. Credits never expire, so you can use them at your own pace.

How do I buy more scan credits?

Go to Profile in the app and tap "Buy Credits" (or tap "Out of Scan Credits" when prompted). You'll see both packs — 200 scans ($3.99) and 500 scans ($7.99). After purchase your credits are added instantly.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits never expire. There are no monthly resets or time limits — your scans are yours to use whenever you need them.

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?

Open the app, go to Profile, tap "Buy Credits", then scroll down and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase. Your credits will be restored automatically.
